Collecting information

Vietnamsgift will collect information from you when you place an order with us. A limited number of our staff members will have access to such information so we are able to process the order. The information may include, but is not limited to, the gift recipient’s details (name/phone number/address…) and your details (name/phone number/address/email…) that are necessary for the delivery.

Consumers making purchases on our site are required to have a valid credit card and be above 18 year-olds. It is the policy of Vietnamsgift not to collect personal information on any person under the age of 18 and we request that any person under 18 not to submit any personal information via our sites. Our reminder and greeting services are designed not to gather birth dates (with years) or other personal information for children under 13.

Sale, Trade or Rental of Personally Identifiable Information

We only share Personally Identifiable Information with businesses that we believe to have reputation and that can provide you with offers and information that we think will be of interest to you. If you would like to opt-out of our providing your name and mailing address to third parties, please follow the procedure outlined in the Opt Out / Modify section below. We do share Personally Identifiable Information with our floral and gift distributors for the purpose of processing your orders. In some cases, we may offer free promotional emails and send promotional direct mail for products and/or services offered on any one or more of our site or from businesses that we believe are reputable, as a service to our prior customers from any of our site. Credit Card

When making purchase with the network of our website the credit card you provide will be submitted for authorization and if approved charged by each individual florist either at the time the order is taken on the website or upon receipt of the encrypted order information. Processing of the stated credit card follows credit card industry standards.

As always, the user making purchase must have a valid credit card, be at least 18 years old, and have a good credit standing.

Placing an Order

When placing an order, you are requested to provide us Personal Information. We use this information to give you a customized experience and to process the order that you place with us.

For your convenience when placing  an order, we automatically establish your own Personal Account where information used in placing such order (including billing address, email address, telephone number(s) and rewards program information) is saved. Your Personal Account is password protected from third parties. You may access your Personal Account by requesting your password from us (go to My Account) and then signing in with that password. Afterward,you may change your password, edit your Personal Information or request a password reminder at any time. Our database stores your billing and delivery information, and will automatically transfer it to the order form each time you place an order so that you do not have to re-enter this information when you sign in at following visits.

The recipient phone number, which you provide to us when you place an order, is used for delivery purposes. On some occasions, we may call the recipient to schedule delivery time. To maintain our high quality standards, we will occasionally contact recipients to ensure their satisfaction.

Accessing your details

At Vietnamsgift, we hold information in regards to you or your company to ensure you can access it at any time. This is subject to any exemptions outlined in the Privacy details described above. If for any reason you are not allowed to access to your information, we will inform you of the relevant exemption clause under our policy. If any costs are incurred in relation to information access, Vietnamsgift may charge a fee for this service.

Choice/Opt-out

Customers are allowed to opt-out of having your information used for purposes not directly related to our site, when we ask for the information.

Until you explicitly opt-in for the first time we consider you in the opt-out category. Customers are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. This is for our users can make an informed choice as to whether or not they should proceed with services that require an outside party.

If you do not wish to receive any promotional or marketing e-mails and/or surface mail marketing letters, you may opt-out of receiving those communications by using the opt-out mechanism on the User Account Settings Web page, or by sending an e-mail with the subject line "Unsubscribe" to or e-mail address - see above.
